Jose Castillo’s 2/13-14/09 WDW (and Place of Evil) Photo Report

WDWNT Technical Director Jose Castillo has shared some interesting photos from the first two days of his 3 day excursion to Walt Disney World this weekend, so let’s take a look:

jwdw1

Jose started his Friday at Epcot

jwdw2

I love seeing the characters out-and-about rather than confined to the Character Spot, I wish they would bring back “Characters on Holiday”

jwdw3

The Fountain of Nations refurbishment continues…

jwdw4

As does the constant stream of new Innoventions exhibits

jwdw5

The bottle shaped recycle bins have returned after a few weeks in absence

jwdw6

This plant by The Seas with Nemo and Friends has seen better days

jwdw7

In transit to the Magic Kingdom, it’s easy to notice the exterior work on the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Convention Center

jwdw8

“Now Shop Rite Does the Can-Can…”

jwdw9

Jose then went back to Epcot, where WDWNT sets the record for most Japan tarp pictures in a single weekend!!!

jwdw10

The Voices of Liberty outside the American Adventure

jwdw11

The Kim Possible Recruitment Center operates late into the evening

jwdw12

Moving to Saturday evening, Jose visited the Magic Kingdom for a few hours. Here, you can see just how large the tarps on the Hall of Presidents facade are

jwdw13

Cinderella Castle all in red to celebrate Valentine’s Day

jwdw14

These “character party hat” decorations have appeared on some of the posts along Main Street U.S.A.

jwdw15

So why wasn’t Jose at WDW earlier on Saturday? Because he went to the place “Where Roller-coasters Rip Through Scenery”, Universal Orlando

jwdw16

I feel bad complaining about anything Disney does when their competition is building loud, brightly colored roller-coasters to run through pre-existing attractions and scenery

jwdw17

Imagine this bursting through a store on Hollywood Blvd. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

jwdw18

For those of us who complain about current affairs at WDW, remember, it could be much, much worse…

Thanks for the photos Jose (and Universal pictures that provided many laughs)!!!
