It was a dark, rainy day yesterday, but fun still ensues at the Disneyland Resort! Let’s get to my latest photo report:

It was quite an empty day yesterday, probably due to the rain.

New Celebrate Today! decorations on the security tents.

This side of the Emporium has been re-painted and looks as great as ever.

The re-paving of Main Street looks to be pretty much complete.

New Celebrate Today! themed coffee mugs.

Went to Small World early in the morning, but it was closed.

Fortunately it re-opened about 20 minutes later.

Now let’s take a tour of the revamped version of the classic It’s a Small World attraction!

The Hello Room is still the same as always.

But I’m not sure if this is new or not?

Never quite got why this sea serpent is there…

“The Happiest Cruise that ever sailed ’round the world”

I think all of this is new as well.

This room is also the same as always, of course with improved sound and lighting all around.

The changes are near…

Up in the sky, you can see Tinker Bell, along with Peter Pan.

Next up are Alice and the White Rabbit, both of which fit in very well. “All In The Golden Afternoon” plays as you pass by.

Cinderella, Gus, and Jacque also fit in well. “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” plays as you pass by.

Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket in Italy. “When You Wish Upon a Star” plays as you pass by.

Welcome to the Middle East.

Who’s that in the sky?

Why Aladdin and Jasmine of course. “A Whole New World” plays as you pass under them.

Mulan is flying a Mushu kite in China.

The “real” Mushu stands next to Mulan flying the kite.

Welcome to the Jungle.

Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba in the Jungle scene. My personal favorite of the new characters.

Jose, Donald, and Panchito… The Three Caballeros.

Aloha.

Ariel, The Little Mermaid. Ariel sings “It’s a Small World” in a very weird voice that doesn’t even sound like her. And no more gurgling mermaids.

Dory and Nemo. Or is it Marlin?

The farmlands of America.

The other side of the room features the old west.

Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye… The worst of the characters additions in my opinion.

A replica of the Hollywood Bowl serves as the entrance to the Finale scene.

The colors change every few seconds through-out the Finale scene.

A creepy moon.

I like how well this changes to the Christmas tree during It’s a Small World Holiday.

The creepy sun that debuted during It’s a Small World Holiday this past November.

This farewell sign is new. As with the sun next to it, is a replica from the original 1964 New York Worlds Fair version of the attraction.

Let’s take a look at some of the greetings in the Goodbye room.

The beautiful Monorail Red, with it’s new windows. But we’ll talk more about that later…

They are selling pin versions of the Vinylmation figures, also in mystery packs.

Let’s hope some better use comes of the Observatron soon.

Also let’s hope the PeopleMover comes back soon.

With the possible removal of the Astro Orbitor sometime this Spring, let’s take a look at the attraction.

A great view of the Castle and the Matterhorn from Carnation Plaza Gardens.

Now let’s take a quick look at The Haunted Mansion, which re-opened 2 days early from its refurbishment.

Workers were doing some work along the edge of the attraction gates.

3 of the 4 Stretching Portraits all stretched out.

Don’t worry, the other portrait is obviously still there, I just didn’t get a picture of it.

Madame Leota wasn’t floating on Thursday according to Chris Lastrapes, but she was floating during my visit.

More of the work going on around the edge of the attraction.

The same sort of work is going on around the edge of the Pirates of the Caribbean bridge.

The Disneyland Dream Suite remains, but is not being awarded to guests anymore.

Continuing work on the Plaza Inn.

The Main Street Vehicles are back.

The Omnibus next to the only remaining repaving work on Main Street.

The Oliver & Company 20th anniversary DVD is now available.

The Celebrate Today! display in the Emporium.

I wonder if they’ll add these decorations to the real Castle? They look quite nice.

Moving over to DCA now… Billboards for Race to Witch Mountain, Space Buddies, and Bedtime Stories.

The It’s a Small World Disney characters pin collection framed set.

The Bakery Tour is still open, even though it was supposed to close on February 9th. It’s now scheduled to close on the 23rd.

Cocina Cucamonga as it is now…

The Pacific Wharf bridge is walled off at the moment and has been completely ripped up. No idea what it’s for.

Illuminations closes April 30th. The store is currently having a sale, with items ranging from 25% to 50% off.

Now into a very wet Monorail Red. These are the old windows.

The new windows create quite a mess when it rains!

This entrance to World of Disney is having some work done.
